One day last week, Donna MacIntosh was doing laundry in her building and decided to head outside with her camera to capture some of the melting ice and snow scenes. Then she had a fun idea to see what she could see in the photos afterwards. Kind of like the “ink blot” tests that psychologists use (do they still do this?). We thought it would be fun to share here and see what interpretations the Pasty Cam folks come up with, too. I’m going to spill the beans on the first one, because once you see it, you can’t see anything else. Both Donna and I see at the base of the sunbeam, an angel like figure, wings, robe and all, like someone is on their way, ascending UP! Do you see it? The rest of the ice sculpture shots are open for your interpretations..enjoy!
This past weekend we were pelted with more snow and ice this time, too. I guess that was our April Fool’s joke, that it really isn’t spring UP North yet. Of course most of us here in the Keweenaw are hoping this is the last of winter, but April often brings a few more storms, so we’ll see. In the meantime, The Woodsy Introverts are giving us a look at “Winter’s Last Stand – Keweenaw Style”. It sure has been nice to take the cleats off for walks as the snow comes and goes on the roads.

Very cool. The first one I see what you guys see. The 2nd one I see a water spigot. The 3rd one I see dancing Snoopy, lol. The 4th one I see a mama bear with her cub. And all I see is ice in the last one. Anyway, that was a fun game.

Nice pix, Donna! And I do see a tiny angel in the first pic. The fourth pic; “What Do You See?” I see ice people. (The Sixth Sense)

They all remind me of what's left of the Winter Carnival snow statues.
