We figured this compilation of Northern Lights photos, captured just over a week ago in the Keweenaw skies, would be a fun way to wish you all a Happy Saint Patrick’s Day! The first two shots are from E. Neil Harri with the lights glowing over the Eagle Harbor Marina and the second photo overlooking the Harbor there. Absolutely stunning!
The third photo comes to us from Jeff Dennis. Talk about having the camera in the right place at the right time, to capture the Aurora over Little Traverse Bay, along with a group of deer on the shoreline there. I’m unaware if deer can see color, but I wonder if they do, whether they notice the beauty in the night sky above them.
The bottom shot was snapped by Michael Musiel in the Copper Harbor area. He posted this one with the following wordage: “Goodnight Moon, Goodnight Northern Lights, Goodnight frozen Harbor.” I think that’s perfect!
Wrapping up the Northern Lights display, we close with an Aurora Time Lapse over the Eagle Harbor Marina, from E. Neil Harri. Enjoy the dancing lights!

And a happy St. Patrick's Day, with the sky in these photos showing the green. A friend of mine who went to Northern reminded me that yesterday was St. Urho's Day. If there were northern lights yesterday, I wonder if they showed any purple? ;>)
