Today’s photos of Lake Superior rockin’ and rollin’ at Blackrocks in Marquette, are brought to you by 906 Images. When he posted these photos, he prefaced them with the following: “Lake Superior's waves are unpredictable and dangerous, often exceeding 15 feet in height, but that's what draws me back to capture them.” I’m not sure what it is about Lake Superior, but she draws so many back to her shores, time after time, whether it’s calm or stormy, like she has a spell on folks. These shots today, definitely capture the huge waves in motion and I for one am glad that I can admire them from afar in these amazing photos.
To top it all off 906 Images shares a short video in the same area, when the wind gusts were around 40 mph and the temperature was 16°, with off and on again snow squalls. Lady Superior never disappoints.

Great captures from 906. It's great when the weather all comes together providing the waves and sunlight to bring out the shades of green.
I think most of the sound on the video is the wind.
Holy smokes! These are great! Thanks for the great start to the day!

Fierce set this morning that chills my cockles to the bone. Thinking about Ron this morning and sending positive thoughts your way. Soon I want to see another pic of you walking along the beach, carrying a another log…the muscle man “Ronzenegger”.

IF you have Charter/Spectrum, chan 42/History, right now, has a real old Pickers show on, and part of it is the General Store, my bro bought in Nahma. It closed in the 40's with everything in it...it's a cool show!!

My apologies for the long post, but I thought that this might be of interest to some of you backyard bird feeders out there.:
Even though they always seem to be in motion, hummingbirds appreciate a place to rest. After flapping their wings at a rate of nearly 80 times per second, you can't blame them for needing a break. A dead tree branch — sometimes called a snag — provides a spot where they can survey their surroundings and keep their eyes on your feeder. By placing a snag in the ground, hummingbirds are more likely to stick close by since they don't have to fly farther away to find a good vantage point.

Oh Alex...they are so adorable when resting. I've had them sit on the top of tomato cages, in flat box bird feeders, etc. They are adorable.
Deb...how did Ron do? Is all well?? I sure hope and pray!

Hi all! Ron is finally in his own room. Surgery took longer than planned because of all the scar tissue and anchors that she had to remove. But she said that all went well. He's got a block so not feeling any pain at the moment. I'm sure with all she had to do in there he's going to be feeling it tomorrow. Poor guy. He's had so many of these to go through. I don't know how he stands it. He thanks everybody for the thoughts, prayers and well wishes, as do I. They're very much appreciated. Alex, we have a feeder that they can sit on while they eat. I just love watching them. They're so adorable.

Thanks for the good news Deb! So thankful that the surgery went well. Continued prayers for the next stage which will be a challenge. I appreciate you for taking the time to let us know!

Good news Deb. Ron will be beachcombing driftwood again soon. Maybe not going bowling, but doing better things outdoors. Hope his recovery's swift.

Great news about Ron with the surgery going well. I agree, he'll be "feeling it" for awhile, especially since I'm sure they'll have him up and at it soon.
