The Pasty Cam

Nice day for a drive over to Ontonagon.  How about lunch at Syl's Cafe?  One of many unique pasty places in the U.P.

Early morning fog burns off as the sun blankets the Copper Country with its warmth.  High today in the 50's.

(we still have a lot more snow than last year at this time)

 Thursday, April 8

Students in the Dow Building had to camp in the halls to take their midterms, due to an electrical fire.  The big picture shows a fire crew rushing to put out the flame.

This shot appeared today on the front page of the Daily Mining Gazette, taken by regular Pasty Camist Jonathan Hopper  jrhopper@pasty.net

On College Avenue we observe the ancient ruins of a snowy civilization...  Well, actually it was only a couple of months ago when these structures were in their prime.

(in fact, here's 2 months ago today)

 Tuesday, April 6

Stan Myers and Zach Wittig drove all the way from Ohio just to see the sights they've enjoyed on the Pasty Cam.  This is their incredible printed version of Pasty.com and the U.P.

(bound to become a best seller...)

(P.S.:  Zach is pointing to last weeks picture of the Calumet Theater)

Ice on the pine....
Monday, April 5

The weather deteriorated again overnight leaving crystal scenes like this one all over the Keweenaw.

(Times like these we appreciate the Keweenaw Co. road crews out making travel safe.)

 Sunday, April 4

A dreary early spring weekend perks up for spectacular sunset among the tamaracks...

(Reminds us of a place in the U.P. named Tamarack Waterworks.)
