When Brita Haapala shared these photos, she had this to say:

“I don't know if my fingers have ever gotten so cold when out taking photos. The thawing out was excruciating. Good thing for my heated steering wheel. Summer can come any time now.”

You know, I have to agree with her about summer coming any time now. We get some nice days and then the snow comes back again, over and over. It’s a good thing we can still find the beauty in photographs from folks like Brita and our other contributors, so we can see something positive in the between the cold and snow. My favorite of today’s shots, is absolutely the second photo with the sky reflected in the wave on the beach. Pretty amazing! You can see more of Brita’s photography here: Copper Country Captures

Steve Brimm knows how to capture the beauty all around us, too. Here he says, “Good Morning!”, with the sounds of Lake Superior doing the talking!

That second photo is so beautiful, the way the cloud
is reflected in the standing water on the beach.

Hiking in the woods last Sunday, I told a fellow
hiker that spring is like a teenager--full of mood
swings. That said, it seems like this spring (and
late winter) has been showing more wild swings in
temperature.

Absolutely beautiful! They are all so amazing that
I can't pic a favorite! Thanks Brita for braving
the bitter cold! From the pics... I was ready to
get out the charcoal and the Vollwerth's and start
grilling lol.

Survived an all-night-er and I'm back home,
"vertical and able to take nourishment" as GN used
to say! :) and to my understanding, no issues, but
I'm sure I'll hear from my primary doc soon. lol
Just glad to get this "behind" me. .... sorry

Good for you, UC! I'm sure you're "relieved" to get that procedure "behind" you. Hope you won't be having any more "brief" encounters anytime soon! (sorry, too for the posterior humor ..... but I couldn't resist)
