A newcomer to the Pasty Cam today, Maddy Lusty captured these shots from L’Anse, of the Philip R. Clarke anchored out in Keweenaw Bay yesterday. What a beautiful scene, with the sunshine lighting up the bay like that. Maddy’s second shot shows a fog-like haze behind the large freighter, giving it an eerie look, even though the sun is highlighting the bow of the boat. I’m guessing that by later in the day, the Clarke was able to shove off and continue her journey on Lake Superior.
The sunshine was a pleasant reprieve from the just about constant lake effect snow we’ve been getting here UP North lately. Jeff Dennis shares a “short” from his ring camera, showing what most of us have been busy with the past week or so. Jeff adds, “Doing a lot of this lately, moving snow in November.”
