Calumet Waterworks Park, also known as Bucky’s, is a popular place for rockhounds. Judy Byykkonen was there last week to do some yooperlighting (looking for yooper light rocks that glow in the dark under special flashlights) and said she didn’t even think about the possibility of a sunset happening while she was waiting. An amazing gift, is what she called this beautiful post sunset color, that had her enthralled by the brilliance of the sky. I know even here in Lake Linden that evening, the sky was painted all colors of pink and orange and it seemed to last in the sky there forever, even after the sun had gone down behind the horizon. Judy captured it quite well.
We have a video from the Copper Harbor, Michigan Facebook page, called “Don’t go chasing Waterfalls?”. It’s beautifully done by Steve Brimm, showing what the Keweenaw waterfalls do when the spring melt takes place.

I love the beauty of water falls. They are so peaceful. I can't wait to get UP there this summer. I hope I can bring my grandsons so they too can experience the beauty of the north!!
