Benji Hainault and his family took a hike this past weekend to check out the Hungarian Falls in the Tamarack/Hubbell area. It was well worth the trek, because they found the falls filled to the brim with water rushing quickly over the ledges in both the Upper and the Middle falls in today’s photos. You can still see some snow hanging out in the shadowed places around the falls, too. It’s the perfect time of year to check out the falls in the area.
Today’s video gives us a look at another falls, further north. E. Neil Harri stopped on M-26, east of Eagle River to record Jacob’s Falls in action recently. Check out the amount of water frothing and foaming over those rocks there. Impressive!

Love both of these waterfalls - doing a "tour de Keweenaw" trip in the third week of July. Waterfalls, brook trout fishing, mtn biking, running, hiking. Can't wait.

Look's like Mr. John Dee is changing locations, or is considering such. After putting all that hard work and love into his quest for a perfect sanctuary, the decision for a new home site must be paramount. I would very much consider purchasing his 'Shangri-La' if I could deduct thirty years off my age of eighty-four. My best to John and his family and may they be as happy with their new surroundings'. FJL....

Neither one of the two pix show the BIG 'Papa' Hungarian Falls. The ones you could see from the railroad trestle. Why?

Thanks for posting that FJL (Langoman). Hadn't read that journal and couldn't be more surprised! All the best to the Dees!
