Hi
My mom, Gloria Laughlin, passed away on March 7,
2023. She was my best friend and I still miss her
terribly.

Beautiful sunset shot today, thanks Marcy.

Thinking of my father who died 40 years ago on March 13th; where does the time go? I still miss you so much.

My heartfelt sympathy to Kathryn and Pat, and everyone who remembers and mourns friends and loved ones.

Pat, is your brother SGT Edward Louis Kolka?
I found his memorial page on Find A Grave and can post a picture if you'd like to send me one of Ed.

Tread lightly, 'tis a soldiers grave,
A lonely mossy mound;
And yet to hearts like mine and thine,
It should be holy ground.
Speak softly, let no careless laugh,
Nor idle thoughtless jest,
escape your lips where sweetly sleeps this hero in his rest.
For him no reveille will beat,
When morning beams shall come;
For him, at night, no tattoo rolls
Its thunders from the drum.
Tread lightly! for a man bequeathed,
here laid beneath this sod,
His ashes to his native land,
His gallant soul to God.

Pat…Thanks to you and your
brother for your sacrifice and
his service.

“13 Greater love hath no man
than this, that a man lay down
his life for his friends.”
(John 15;13)
