I’ve always thought that George C. Bailey has one of the best views of Lake Superior in the Keweenaw, but my goodness, he has an outstanding view of sunsets from his back yard, too. These shots George shares here today, are nothing less than outstanding, showing a recent fiery sunset. Each progressive shot makes it look like it’s truly a fire on the horizon with the flames dancing and jumping. I wonder how he decides which windows to look out when the Big Lake is roaring and the skies are ablaze. It’s great that he lets us share in his views like he does.
We’re taking a look at the rare Boreal Owl with Lesley The Bird Nerd today. These owls are found in Boreal Forests, which we have a few of here in the U.P., along the shores of the Great Lakes, on Isle Royale, Drummand Island and Beaver Island and locally inland areas within the Negaunee-Michigamme Highlands of the Western Peninsula. So if you’re in those areas, maybe you’ll be lucky enough to spot one
