Absolutely stunning, today’s shots of Lake Superior waves frozen in time. 906 Images did his magic and stopped the waves in mid cresting, splashing and crashing, so we can see the Big Lake in all her glory, with every little line and droplet of water to behold. His post was titled Lake Superior showing her colors, which can mean the various shades of blue and green and also her “attitude” on that wind-whipped day. Simply amazing to be able to share these shots, captured perfectly, while Gitche Gumee splashes and roars.

On a different day, 906 Images recorded the beauty of a little calmer Lake Superior. One thing for sure, is that no matter if Lake Superior is as smooth as glass or all worked up like today’s photos...she is surely a gem that surrounds the U.P., drawing you to her shores in all kinds of weather.

…and by the way, “ people on the rocks” is not
a cocktail, so don’t waste your time googling it.

Looks like surf is up on the big lake but the tube
looks a bit small for shooting it. I do not surf but
I know someone who is and I have been trying to get
him to give it a try. He replied that the beach is a
bit too hard when you wipe out. All those rocks and
gravel and less sand.
