George C. Bailey has done it once again... captured the beauty in the skies above Lake Superior from a recent Aurora event. Of course it helps that he lives on the north shore of the Keweenaw Peninsula, west of Copper Harbor, but that’s only the beginning of capturing the colors, shades and light. George just knows how it’s done and he always does it so well. Most of us don’t see an event like this, because we’re in the midst of town and the lights of the city drown out the Northern Lights. George is where there is no “light pollution”, so the lights just glow all around him. Thankfully he captures them and shares them for all to enjoy!
In the Keweenaw recently recorded another sky event with the Super Blue Moon when it made its appearance over the Portage Lake Lift Bridge. Another beauty in the Keweenaw Sky!
