Laurie Bashaw was down at the Lower Harbor exploring the waterfront and capturing interesting shots of the old ore dock and some of the boats at the Lower Harbor Marina and docks. I really like the different colors of the sailboats, especially with the backdrop of downtown Marquette buildings that face the harbor there. It’s a section of Marquette that you don’t even know exists if your travels around town don’t take you down to the waterfront. There’s a slower pace there, too, less traffic and people walking around checking out the boats and all that the Lower Harbor has to offer.
We’re going on a Marquette paddling adventure with Brian and Heather Outdoors, beginning at Wetmore Landing, heading to Rum Runner’s Cove, then on toward Presque Isle to check out the Sandstone cliffs... that’s where they encounter a huge pollen spill. Enjoy the tour!

I love that area n and these pictures really capture the beauty of the waterfront. I love walking around down there, or even just grabbing a bite to eat with a view to kill. Thanks for sharing these, Laurie, and especially because I must have missed them on fb.

The pix are nice, but the video was a little jittery, probably caused at my end. The parts that I saw were pretty good.
