When Danielle Putnam was telling me about today’s photos, she mentioned that it’s not something you see every day. To which I replied that I didn’t think it was something you see any day. If you recall back to May 9, 2023 here on the Pasty Cam, we first met Jack the dancing turkey, who belongs to Danielle’s neighbor Alanna. Now we get to see Jack go on his maiden voyage kayaking with them. Danielle said they started out in their kayaks and Jack was looking at them and hollering from the shore, so they went back to get him and took him out on the water, which he absolutely loved. So much so, that when they brought him back, he put up another fuss and they had to take him out with them a second time. He sat on the kayak just looking around, enjoying the excursion thoroughly. He’s quite the personable feathered friend. Danielle said a few weeks ago, her and Alanna took off on bikes and left him behind. He was mad at them for days after. Too funny!

Danielle was able to record a video of Jack the Kayaker, too. She said the second time around he was waiting by the water raring to go, instead of up on top of the hill. It took Danielle getting out of the kayak and helping him step up on her kayak. Then he settled down on top for the ride.

I've heard of turkey in de straw and turkey in de hay but now I'm just overwhelmed. What a sight!

Alex, not a bad idea - have to find one for him! His owner is trying
to rig a basket to a kayak so Jack can sit in the basket and chill
while his owner paddles around the river.
