Forget-Me-Nots are in bloom here in the Copper Country and Brita Haapala has a magical spot near her home where they grow. You can see there’s a path through the pretty little flowers, so she asked her young daughter, who is outgrowing Mom and her photos, if she could take some pictures of her on the path...she agreed. So we get to join in on their fun today. This looks like such a peaceful spot, it would be a great place to come to with a book and enjoy the sounds of nature around you. Well, that is if the bugs aren’t being a nuisance that day!

Of note, in case you didn’t already know... The Alzheimer’s Society has adopted the small blue Forget-Me-Not flowers as a symbol to raise awareness of people with dementia and memory loss, as the flower represents remembrance.

Speaking of bugs... Nancy Haun mentions in her video at the Bishop Baraga Shrine, that the day she recorded it, there was not a bug to be seen. Check out what Nancy’s been up to with getting the shrine grounds ready for the summer season.

Nice Spring pix! And Nancy…”You go girl” and “Hello” back at ya. I

hope you’re name is on a plaque or something at the shrine.

Beautiful pictures. I just love forget me
nots. I love that the Alzheimer's Society
has adopted this flower. It's the perfect
choice. I've been planting them on my
grandparent's graves. The grass just doesn't
grow, and what better choice than forget me
nots?

Drove by the shrine on Saturday. Looking
good, Nancy!
