Some folks have elaborate descriptions of their photos, but Stacey Flood must go by the old adage, a picture is worth a thousand words, because her description that accompanied today’s grouping was simple and to the point...”Today was a good day!”
She snapped these photos along the Lake Superior shoreline. You might think she just pointed the camera and hit the shutter button, but it wasn’t that easy. Stacey said she was crawling through thick brush on her knees, over clear, thick and slippery ice to get these pictures. She even had to slide on her butt over the bank which was a challenge, but she added that she loves a good challenge! It’s a good thing she does, because I don’t think I would get to see scenery like this if I had to crawl around like she did to get to the best vantage point. I have three favorites today, all in a row, the last three shots. Such unique ways the ice freezes, especially what Stacey called the chandelier ice in the last two shots. Just stunning!

What fantastic shots. No way I'd have done what she did to get them. I'm satisfied looking at it in pictures. Thanks for putting your bones in the line for these shots, Stacey.
And what a cool video! I loved the shot of just the needles on the pine tree. So simple but yet beautiful. The whole video was worth the watch.
