Judy Byykkonen snapped today’s bouquet of Daisies! She said they were actually her wedding flowers, too. They’re such a pretty and simple flower, plus they always look like they’re happy. That might be the yellow center that does that, since it looks like the smiley faces, minus the eyes and mouth. Whatever it is, these blooms make me smile whenever I see them. How many of you remember pulling the petals off one by one to see if your crush loves you...he loves me, he loves me not, he loves me...and on until you get to the last petal. If only relationships were that easy to figure it out.

She says: “This is a moderate one way trail to Log Slide Overlook in Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. This trail goes by Au Sable Point, Au Sable. Get to know this 4 mile out-and-back trail near Grand Marais, Michigan. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 2 h 35 min to complete.” Enjoy the adventure!

Just saw the post about Alex being in the hospital. We'll be adding our prayers for you, Alex! May our Lord comfort and heal you and guide the doctors in their treatments.

To my Pasty family, I am in the hospital due to an MS flare up and other issues. I hope to be back on my feet but it may take several weeks. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers, it’s appreciated a great deal.

In case anyone's been wondering where DrNat and I have been, we have been swamped with work and travel (I just returned from a presentation I gave in New Hampshire a few days ago). But, beginning July 16 we will be in the Keweenaw for 4+ weeks enjoying the cooler weather and such. We are also working the Houghton Gem & Mineral Show coming in August so if you're around, stop on by (or say HI before that if you're in the area...)
