I may have said this before, but Taana Blom sure has a scenic view from her home on the Keweenaw Waterway Lower Portage Entry. It doesn’t matter if it’s a sunrise or a sunset, the captures she gets are always outstanding and worthy of artwork to hang in your home. The water looks so smooth and reflective in these shots, dotted with a few remaining ice chunks and floes, the scenes make you feel Spring is here. You can see the Lower Entry Light and then the sun putting a golden glow on the trees across the waterway in the White City/Jacobsville area. Stunning!
Nancy Haun was recently out at the Slate River in Huron Bay, doing some exploring, looking for clues from the Iron Range Huron Bay Railroad from the early 1890’s. Join her on this interesting Spring adventure.
