The deer have been gathering at Jeff Dennis’ place out at Little Traverse Bay, waiting for the snow to melt enough so they can get back to exploring the woods and foraging for food on their own again for the spring and summer. Jeff’s game camera captures some unique shots of the deer, since it’s set up on the shores of Lake Superior, so the view is great, too. Most of us have our cameras set up in the woods, so while it’s nice to see the trees and other woodland critters, you just can’t beat the view that Jeff captures along with his beach going deer.

Jeff shares some almost live action with us, today, too. His lead in to the video says: “We cut down hours of 4k video of deer at our camp from this week, to this video of the "highlights." I like the grunts that they make and there is a slight argument at the end.” I guess there’s a “pecking order” with the deer and when one gets out of line, they get a bit feisty!

Photo, "Well, Hello There!": I used to deer hunt
years ago, but if I ever saw 3 deer walk up to me
look'n that sweet, I'd lay my weapon down and hand
out apples.

I've grown accustom to his and the families
spectacular pics & video's!!

I echo Alex's word's. All the years we were deer
hunting... for me was the camaraderie and the
adventures of 4 wheeling and to see if we'd make
it back to camp (at times, all bets were off,lol)
I understand and appreciate game
management and harvesting the herd and I suppose
I'd feel different if I had to feed my family by
hunting, fortunately that's not the case. Such
beautiful animals!!
