Whenever George C. Bailey shares pictures from near his home, he always prefaces them with the following explanation changing the actual description within the parenthesis, but the remaining wordage always stays the same: ”(Lake Superior ice art) on the north shore of the Keweenaw Peninsula at Dans Point in Eagle Harbor Township, west of Copper Harbor, Michigan.” So you always know these are photos from across the road where he resides. It always astounds me how his Lake Superior landscape changes from week to week, month to month. Like for instance, just about two weeks ago, Dans Point had waves rocking and rolling with not much ice in sight on the rocks or shoreline. Fast forward to today’s photos and the shoreline looks like someone has frosted and decorated it like a fancy cake. Wait another two weeks and I bet it will have changed once again and look completely different. It’s like George has an ever-changing kaleidoscope of Superior Art right outside his door. Talk about a home with a view!
We take a closer look at some Lake Superior Ice Art with a video from Kelly Campy, accompanied by an uplifting little tune. Once again, nature dazzles us with beauty!
