When you live here in the Keweenaw, you often take for granted, the beauty that we get to enjoy every day. Not George C. Bailey, though. He notices it and appreciates it, capturing all the glory for others to see.
Someone on his Facebook page, posted: “You must be in a constant state of wonder at your environment!”
To which George replied: “As you know, a shoreline on a large body of water is usually in a continual state of change. The water, colors, lighting, etc are always changing to one degree or another. Actually, as I sit in our living room and I gaze at the lake waiting to shoot some (hopefully) auroras after 11pm tonight, Lake Superior is in a state of relaxation which exhibits subtle textures for miles to the horizon. Does that answer the question?”
I’m picturing him sitting there watching out the windows...a much better way to spend time when you’re blessed with a view like he has, than watching the electronic window inside your home for entertainment.
We join In The Keweenaw for an afternoon at the east end of Copper Harbor. Another of those places with an ever changing view of the Big Lake in all her glory.
