Yes indeed... when the Hummingbirds arrive back here in the Copper Country, we definitely know that summer isn’t far behind. Jean Dessellier captured some of her visitors recently, both male and female Ruby-throated hummingbirds on her feeder. These photos make you feel like you could reach out and touch these tiny birds, especially the first two shots, you can almost count all the feathers.
It is truly a day we look forward to at our house, seeing those beautiful little birds flitting around so fast. We have one male hummingbird this year, that sits atop a small pipe near one of our hummingbird feeders and as soon as another hummer shows up, it flys at the feeder quickly to scare it off. Sassy…
Krupp’s Resort in Twin Lakes is the scene for today’s video, showing the hummingbird brigade that invade their feeders. This is just one of numerous feeders they have available for the hummers. If your speakers are turned up, you can hear the humming/buzzing of their wings.

"Haven't you noticed the days somehow keep getting
longer? And the spirit voices whisper in us all.
Haven't you noticed the rays? The spirit sun is
stronger. And a new day is dawning for us all.
Hummingbird don't fly away, fly away. Hummingbird
don't fly away, fly away."
