Magical moments happen when you least expect them. That’s what Brita Haapla from Brita Caroline Photography has discovered. She took a couple of her school age kids to watch the very late moonrise over Lake Superior one night last week and said that the moon came up as golden as the sun had set earlier that evening (Check out yesterday’s Pasty Cam). Brita added that “Her son’s enthusiasm for the event was over the top. He exclaimed over everything. The stars, the moving planes, the shadowy lake brightening up and then finally the beautiful moon appearing. He said he’ll remember this day forever.” How’s that for creating a moment? I’m betting that this young man will someday do the same with his kids, because of a spur of the moment excursion with his creative Mom.

Speaking of creative... Shawn Malone, the lady behind Lake Superior Photo is another one who creates magical moments. Her full moon rising over Lake Superior in Marquette video is breathtaking to say the least.
