Beth Jukuri and the ladies from the WIND (Women in New Directions) group take part in some type of activity, weather permitting on Wednesdays. Last week they took to the Bear Lake Trail around McLain State Park for a hike. If you’re not familiar with the trail, it’s 2.2 miles long and loops around the grounds across the rode from the park, where you’ll hike by Bear Lake and then cross the road where the trail loops back around through McLain State Park where you’ll hike by Lake Superior, too. Information I found about the trail says it is good for all skill levels and used for hiking, running, nature trips and bird watching. You can bring your dog on the trails, also, but they must be kept on a leash. Looks like a peaceful trail to get out and enjoy nature at its finest here UP North.
When May finally arrives, we Yoopers know we’re done with winter for the most part. Today’s video from Five Aces Media pretty much says the same thing, that “Spring has arrived and it’s not going anywhere this time. Foliage is coming back to life and warmth returns to the land.”

Hi Looks like there has been some erosion near the pavement. But otherwise a beautiful, peaceful, scene.

Hi again This has nothing to do with today's post, but I just saw the following, which features Copper Harbor, on today's Astronomy Picture of the Day.
