Believe it or not, Beth Jukuri snapped these icy photos just a few days ago. Our temperatures around the Copper Country have been up and down for the past week or so. Getting up in the low 40’s on some days and not climbing much above freezing on other days and nights. So the “Art in Ice” that Beth photographed is probably no longer there in all it’s icy glory, but oh my, what a treat it must have been to come upon it when she did. One of her friends described the photos as magical, another said her first thought was deer antlers in the top two shots. I’m sure glad Beth takes the time to capture this fleeting artistry, otherwise we might never get to enjoy it at all.
