This past Saturday was one of those rare Copper Country winter days when there was no wind. We took advantage of that and the slightly warmer temps and head out in the woods to blaze some snowshoe trails in the fluffy, fresh snow. What an adventure it was, so quiet in the woods with just the crunch, crunch of our snowshoes and the chick-a-dee-dee of the birds flitting around us. The piled up snow on the trees surrounding us made the scene quite magical, too. It was a much needed recharge from a busy week, so that we could clear our minds, refresh our souls and connect with God and nature.

The video has a few crackles in it from moving to make it, but other than that, even with your volume turned up, all you’ll hear is the peace and quiet we encountered on our snowshoe adventure.

Very beautiful. We were supposed to get 4 to 6
inches of snow down here in Jackson and visions
of cross-country skiing danced in my head. But
the storm drifted north and we only had about
an inch. Well, at least the grass is covered
now.

I love the video, and that it is quiet. I
prefer
the videos with natural sounds over the ones
with
music.
