Last week, Sharon Bodenus from Upper Peninsula Photography, was out in the woods with her husband collecting sap to make maple syrup. Actually, Sharon said her hubby was doing the collecting and she was following along. Looks like it was a beautiful day to be doing either of those activities. Sharon was able to capture a couple unique shots of how the snow weighs down the tree branches and the variety of shadows the spring sunshine makes on the snow. It’s sure starting to melt this week, with the rain and warmer temperatures. I think we may be over the hump for the most part.
Today’s “Seconds of Solitude” from Ann Gasperich were recorded at Brunette Park on the Gay/Lac La Belle road. Note the big tree that fell during a storm last October, is still lying there where it dropped.

Good to see they are doing the maple syrup this year!!! Saw where someone wasn't going to do it because of the virus ~ seems like you're out in the woods or one person could be working the evaporator so it wouldn't be a problem. Perhaps their day jobs are as nurses or something and they didn't have the time.

Excellent! I dreamed that I could feel the sunshine and cool breeze on my face, arms, torso and legs...don't ask me what I was wearing in this dream.
