Nancy Haun had some pretty neat critter encounters this past week. First, in Skanee, she spotted this group of turkeys, with not just one Tom all puffed UP and showing off, but three of them strutting their stuff. What a great shot!
Then at the head of the Keweenaw Bay, she spotted something out on the ice and said, what the heck is that as she turned around to get a closer look. And sure enough, there was an Otter on the ice there. Nancy was able to zoom in with her lens and capture some great shots of this guy and before you know it another one popped up, too. Even though otters are common around the area, in the right habitat, this was the first time Nancy had seen them in all of her travels. How fun to get such neat shots of them, too.
Nancy also made a video of the Turkeys, so we can see them in action, as they do what seems like a dance. Make sure you have your speakers turned up and towards the end of the video, you’ll hear some gobbling, too.
Hope all is well in your part of the world. Stay safe and healthy.

The video is sooooo fun to watch. The pictures are sooooo adorable to see. How exciting that was to see otters out there, not one, but two. Thank You.

Nice pic's & video! Lot's of them strolling around right off the main road here in Commerce Twp. without a care in the world.

Such regal looking gallinaceous gobblers. (Wow!)
The bird is the word.
