When Joe Kirkish sent in today’s photos, he mentioned that he felt the first photo was the nicest shot he’s ever taken of Copper Harbor from the Brockway Mountain lookout. It sure is a beauty and with those clouds against the blue sky, just glorious!
Joe’s second photo was snapped somewhere along the drive on M-26. I bet if that lone tree there on the rocky shore could talk, it would be able to tell us of the many travelers that have passed by. I’d say it has one of the best seats in the house, with it’s roots firmly planted in the Keweenaw.
A spot along the way to Copper Harbor that I remember visiting as a kid is the Devil’s Washtub on M-26. Today’s video, published by Steve Lehto, takes us on the short walk to get a look at this natural Lake Superior rock formation.

Beautiful pics and cool video as usual! Been there many times. When Superior is roaring the tub can get extremely turbulent! However, I thought this property belonged to the bed & breakfast on the other side of 26 and is now private property, is that not true?
