Beth Jukuri was able to get back out on her bike again, now that the Sturgeon River flooding has receded off the roads. You can see from her top photo, though, that there is still plenty of water where their normally isn’t. Beth’s bottom photo shows the beauty of the Copper Country coming back to life, with a bunch of daffodils sprouting in an awakening field. Color is returning!
This little waterfall and woodland stream is located between the two cemeteries in Lake Linden. We were out there doing a little maintenance on our family headstones and could hear the water running and had to check it out. It’s a great time of year, the bugs haven’t come back to life yet, but I’m sure it won’t be long and they’ll be swarming.

They should restore the practice of dueling in our capital. It might improve manners around there.

Such a pretty little stream. I could listen to the gentle sound of that all day!
