The Calumet Golf Course held a Snowshoe Golf Scramble this past weekend and Melanie Hakala Rossi was on hand to golf and snap pictures. She said there were approximately 40 to 50 golfers that strapped on snowshoes and hit the greens or maybe I should say the whites? The golfers agreed the day was loads of fun as they shot florescent tennis balls around the course, into makeshift holes, dug in the snow cover. Yoopers sure know how to have fun, no matter the season, that’s for sure.

We don’t have actual footage from this weekend’s event, but instead we found a video of some kids golfing UP North a few years back. These kiddos were using “dodge balls” for their event. Maybe they’ll be ready for next year’s event at the Calumet course.
