With track season just getting underway here UP North, Dorothy Jamison went to the Calumet Copper Kings track to check out conditions for the track events at their field. Oh, oh... it looks like it’s going to be some time before the kids will be running on the Kings track or jumping hurdles or the high jump or just about everything track related. Check out the snow at the entrance to the Kings field. It will take some warm temperatures and plenty of sun to get this field ready for practicing or for competition events with other teams. Let’s hope it doesn’t melt to fast, though and make the infield too wet and spongy.
Our video adventure today, comes from Mike Liagre, showing us how folks in Ishpeming measured how deep the snow was at the end of February. Mike said, “We like to make a miserable situation into some fun for all.” Watch for it...
