Esrey Park is located on M-26, between Eagle Harbor and Copper Harbor. If you’ve visited this beautiful little park on the shores of Lake Superior in the summer, you may not recognize it in these photos snapped by E. Neil Harri, since all covered in snow and ice, it looks quite different. In the second photo, you can just make out the stone steps that take you UP to the top of the walkway for a better view of the Big Lake in all her icy glory. It’s a great winter scene, but I think it’s probably a bit too cold for a picnic this day.

E. Neil Harri is also taking us on a drive through Kearsarge on a blustery, cold day last week. Watch for a glimpse of the snow-covered stone boat, USS Kearsarge Veterans Memorial (at 0.47 in the video) and shortly after that (at 1.24) a glimpse of the Hut as Neil drives by.

Neil…Excellent pix of Esrey Park,
another “must stop” in the summer
when cruising along M26 on the Wing.
And the video also; US41 in the summer,
another unforgettable cruise on the Wing.
Thank you, Mr. Harri…for the memories!

I've not gone to Esrey during the
winter months. I'm a summer and
fall person. But it's hard to pass
Esrey, ever. And there's beauty
out there everywhere, even in the
winter when everything appears to
be black and white.

Nice ride. We took it yesterday.

Thank you for the spin...ain't seen that neck of
the woods in a long time.

In the summer, stop at the boat and walk behind
it...there is so much info back there...it's a
really impressive area.

And I love Esrey Park....THAT is a stunner too!

Nice pics that look extremely cold and lonely. The
video looks the same as well, almost like a
different world to me. it's easy to forget how much
snow is really in the Keweenaw, when you don't see
that in SE MI area. I think my driveway has been
plowed twice so far, lol & maybe 3 to 4 inches each
time.
Really could use a road-trip, but my health and
healing of my foot obviously takes precedence. If
I'm ready by Spring, that'll be just fine. Enjoy the
rest of the week my friends.
