Last week Cathy Mckenzie joined some friends in a sauna and swim on the shores of Lake Superior. That first photo is so inviting...get all warmed in the cozy sauna and then jump into the chilling waters of the Big Lake. Cathy’s friend mentioned that she was going to turn her into a sauna/swim lover yet, to which Cathy replied, “I’m really getting there, it was quite enjoyable this evening.” I can absolutely see why!

After the sauna and swim event, they took off to do some Aurora chasing, stopping at Great Sand Bay and then Eagle Harbor. Cathy said she wished her phone took better pictures, but I think her shots were just fine! Especially for those of us that were snug in our beds while she was chasing the lights.

To round out today, we have a peaceful scene from Steve Brimm, which I think is at Lake Manganese. Steve calls it a joyful spot...a perfect description!

I have to say that this summer’s selection
of pix have been exceptional and I’m sorry
that summer is almost over.

Hard to tell how far down the lake is from the
sauna, maybe there's steps to the water?? Might be
hard to climb back out when one is still catching
their breath otherwise, or after a few barley
pops!! :=))
