Last night when the dust settled, the Calumet Copper Kings left Houghton with a 48-17 win over the Gremlins. (ideal Fall conditions, no wind, 58 degrees) |
A true Yooper spots the Pasty Cam as he tunes up his mechanized shovel, eh? (captured around mid-day, the first snowblower sighting of the season) |
Thursday, September 24
(in Copper Harbor, of course) |

It's so cold this morning up US41, a reminder that soon this spot will begin to see some action (the pointer is still set at last year's snowfall) (maybe our last chance to see the Snow Thermometer before the leaves are gone) |
Another dazzling day in the Copper Country... bright sunshine, cotton candy clouds, just a bit on the chilly side. That's the waters of Copper Harbor on the left, Lake Fanny Hooe on the right. (current weather conditions can always be seen on the Snow Thermometer page) |

Elmo N. erected this tower over the weekend at the Cliffs. This is a Pasty Cam zoom from near the Phoenix store. (...and you can acquire your own genuine Phoenix Store T-shirt from the GiftNook) |
Lot's of traffic in the Keweenaw this afternoon, mostly color seekers. On the way to Brockway Mountain, Pasty Cam pauses in Eagle Harbor for a glimpse of the Lake, sky, boat and trees. (George Hite lives in there somewhere. Also, that's George's sailboat, the Peregrine. Scroll your browser right to see more of the harbor.) |
