This past week, Deborah Goodell was on her way out to Gay, when suddenly a rainbow appeared above them while on the road. Of course she had to stop and snap a few shots of such a beautiful sign that maybe the rain showers were over for now. I remember back in the day, when someone mentioned the word gay and you just thought they were talking about being lighthearted, carefree, bright and happy. So heading out to Gay, MI and a rainbow appears along your way, you know that you’re going to enjoy the rest of the drive and your stop at the Gay Bar for some beverages and good grub. That’s exactly what Deborah did!
On this 23rd anniversary of the 9/11 tragedies, these rainbows are a perfect way to remember all those who perished during and because of those attacks. This quote says it all...”The greater the storm, the brighter the rainbow”. Rainbows are promises of hope...May all those who died because of 9/11, Rest In Peace.
We have a video from the Michigan DNR, about a Michigan biologist who discovered fish at the deepest spot in Lake Superior. The lead-in states: “This video highlights special government work on Lake Superior where Michigan fisheries biologist, Shawn Sitar, and his crew use a research vessel to check fish populations and other scientific data. Shawn's passion and dedication to research significantly help current and future management decisions for the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. In 2006, his research team went on an expedition to the deepest spot in Lake Superior (1,320ft) and documented a living population of fish.”
