Whenever Donna MacIntosh’s friend (Hi LOU!) takes her out cruising, Donna says she was “sprung”, since she doesn’t get out of her apartment all that often. On this day, the gals did a bit of touring through some farmlands in the Copper Country. I have to say, that barn in the first shot is a beauty. Nice to see it well kept and in good shape. Fun to see the cattle and the geese sharing the field, too, but I’m guessing that if the cattle came too close to the geese, they might start flapping their wings at them to keep them at bay. Wouldn’t that be a sight to see?
Donna’s bottom photo is one you see a lot of this time of year. I think it’s a crabapple tree and they’re just stunning when they’re all in bloom like this one. The color of the blossoms are so rich and deep it really stands out in beauty.
We’ve often joined Jeff Dennis and Fritz on their kayaking adventures, but today they have an added pair with them on their paddle... two Canada Geese seem to be leading the way and from the looks of it, Fritz would like to jump in and join them swimming!

Very nice, Donna. I especially love the barn and the crabapple tree. Gorgeous!
Fun to hear the sounds as Jeff and Fritz are out on the water. Poor Fritz, having to deal with that noise, lol. I just love him.

I cannot tell you how WONDERFUL of LOU to take me for a spin...it is like being sprung...lol...We cruised, and it is so cool to see the world!
Although, Lou says when she and her man moved to their home on the water, they had geese. She was thrilled...the man says "Wait."....THEN she saw all the "presents" left behind. That's not a normal bird turd....that's something requiring a rake and shovel!
And I wonder if Fritz ever got up close to a goose..They would whoop him. They can be mean~

Way to go Donna…I’m so glad that you can get out and about. And thanks for the pix, how did you know that I love seeing herds of geese and flocks of cows? And the video was great…”I can feel ya Fritz”! “While at once it seems both, so far and yet so close If you reach out to touch, it will be gone.” (Trower)

Right On, Donna!
And I agree, stay away from areas where geese hang out. They are nasty. I don't know when they quit migrating south. Too many stick around all winter now. Oh no! not global warming?
Can you order up the "On Demand" Houghton Transit Bus and have them drive some place "special"?
