One day last week, Laurie Bashaw and her hubby decided to take a ride and check out some of the waterfalls in Alger County. They visited three different waterfalls, starting with Miners Falls in Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore Park. Next on their list was Sable Falls by Grand Marais where Laurie snapped two shots of the falls there. They wrapped up the tour with Wagner Falls by Munising. It looks like all three falls were worth the drive on a sunny, clear day. Thanks for taking us along, Laurie!

Visit Keweenaw takes us to southern Ontonagon County for a quick look at Bond Falls on the middle branch of the Ontonagon River. This one is an hours drive south of Houghton and a few miles east of Paulding. Another one that’s worth the drive.

Waterfall season indeed! These are gorgeous.

Neat wet set!
Interesting video too…I never heard a
waterfall that barked before.

Gorgeous pictures!! I love Bond
Falls. It's one of my favorite
waterfalls UP here.

Thanks for sharing these.

Welcome home Alex!! You too U.C.!! I saw the posts
from yesterday. Alex, you wouldn't believe how many
doubles I've done too, and Mary fixes me as well!
(what would we do without her...hey Deb?)

Oh yes, the waterfalls! One of the best parts of a UP Spring.

A little further south and spring has gotten a bit rougher with all the early tornado action we are experiencing.

Nice poem Donna.

It looks like today was MTU Spring commencement. Congratulations to my fellow alumni. I wonder when it became a thing to take a graduation photo in front of the 8 foot Husky statue.

Hey DA...I get them emails daily...they really are
beauties...and yes, it's Tech Graduation today. My
friend stopped yesterday, from Alaska, for her
nephew's graduation from Tech today!

Next time you come U.P., get your pic taken with
the husky too....he's a pretty boy!

Charter/Spectrum channel 21 is David Attenborough
and Planet Earth most of Saturday. They just had
bears scratching their backs!! Oh it was adorable.
Some travel many miles to their favorite tree. Mom
teaches her babes how to do it. Awesome!

HOLY WAAHHHH!! to borrow a phrase from MS Donna!!
Spectacular pics and video! Yes, Spring time in
the Yoop is a special time (like the other 3
seasons). Everything starts to wake up and turn
green and the waterfalls pour out as much water as
they can from the runoff deep in the woods.

My question to the Fam., is..... is there one
more good dumping of snow yet to come as May
approaches? lol While at NMU, I remember it wasn't
uncommon to see it, even if it did last long
before melting.

Alex, if one is at Bond Falls in the evening, that
bark turns into a howling! :-)

Side note, Yes, D.A., Deb and all, I am feeling much
better thank you. My appointments have been going
well. I don't talk to loudly about it, lol. I'm
looking forward to getting North of the Mighty Mac
as you all know. As GN would say, "blowing off the
city stink".

Great news Everyone (but mostly U.C. & Alex, lol).

Donna, Beat you to it. I even have one using their webcam. I stood in front, called my son, he had me move to the best position, then took a screen shot.

The statue of course wasn't there when I gradiated. I often think about & miss some great times at Da'Tech and the Keweenaw (and Isle Royale). Reminiscing helps.

Thanks for your support everyone,
it means more than you know.

What happens to you
And I know that you care
For me too
So, I don't feel alone or the
weight of the stone
Now that I've found somewhere
safe to bury my bone
And any fool knows a dog needs a home
A shelter from pigs on the wing”
