Judy Byykkonen has professed that Calumet Waterworks, a.k.a Bucky’s, is her happy place. It’s where she loves to take her “girls” so they can run and swim, but that’s not the only reason it’s her favorite spot. Today’s photos illustrate one of the major reasons...Lake Superior and the sunsets that happen there. Judy had so many good shots from this sunset evening, that I had to share more than one. With the waves splashing up and reflecting the sunset, they’re all outstanding photos. Check out Judy’s third shot, with the sun reflecting at the bottom of the wave splash, pretty amazing. And to top it all off, Judy shared a few shots with TV6 and they featured them one evening on the news last week, too. She really has a good eye for scenes that are pleasing and luckily, she’s always willing to share her views with us all.

Today’s video short comes from Brian and Heather Outdoors and is a montage of Upper Peninsula scenes throughout the seasons. They switch quickly, but it’s a beautiful whirlwind of the Yoop!

When I saw these pictures on
Judy's fb page, I was hoping
they'd get shared on pasty. They
are spectacular! If I had to pick
a favorite, it'd be #3, because
you can see the sun in the splash.

These are the ones on TV6 that I thought were
beyond phenomenal! WOW And YES....number 3 is over
the top. These are just outstanding!
