Whenever Debbie Jarve wants to check out the deer, she just heads to a friend’s where they feed to help them make it through the Copper Country winter. Although this year, at least here in the Lake Linden area, it doesn’t seem like the deer headed out to the deer yards in the Rice Lake and Lake Superior area. We’ve had deer around our farm all winter long, since the snow never got deep enough to chase them to the shores where the snow doesn’t accumulate so deeply as during a normal winter. Debbie sure snapped some good close-up shots that look like you could reach out and pet the deer in them. Great captures!

Then we have a short video from Jeff Dennis’ game camera on the shores of Lake Superior. I’m not sure what’s prettier, the healthy looking deer or the sunny scenery!

Yes, one up side of this mild Winter is the critters are in better shape this Spring.

Nicely done…up close and personal pix!
Nice video too. I wondered how Jeff got
so close without spooking the deer, but then
I read that he is using a game cam. Did they
play checkers afterwards?

These are so beautiful.

So gorgeous. Really good
captures. 3 of ours are back
feeding in our yard here in Lake
Linden. Looks like they remembered
where "home" is. We know they're
the same ones because they didn't
run very far when we went out to
throw some corn down. And then
when they got up to the deck, you
could see the cute little buttons
on the young bucks. Momma is a
little round so she'll probably be
shooing last year's fawns away
soon. They've never been back this
early. Very cool.

I figured that was Jeff's game cam
before I read it. Very nice

Great looking pics! The herd should be in much better shape with
the milder winter! I couldn’t get the video to play on my phone, but
I recognized that was Jeff’s place. Mary is right, the sunny
background is beautiful!

Doc says I should be home by Monday. Getting plenty of antibiotic
IV’s the last couple of days.
