The temperatures in the past week were quite chilling and Diane Richard managed to capture that “chill” in pictures, along with a type of lake fog, clouds and pancake ice. That fog looks like it was dancing away on the water, making for a mystical scene, It didn’t take long for all those weather phenomenon to appear, once the snow and cold arrived. I really can’t pick a favorite today, but I’m leaning toward the last two shots, with the ice on the shoreline branches and such. Although I really like the sun on the ice in the first photo, too. Nope, I can’t pick a favorite today.
It looks like MI Playground couldn’t pick a favorite either, as they share four things that they look forward to about winter in Sault Ste. Marie. Including snowshoeing, skiing and snowmobiling, along with the first Saturday in February, the Soo I-500, a 500 mile snowmobile race on a 1-mile ice oval.

These are fabulous!! But that sun peeking out is
my favorite. It just grabbed me immediately. So
yup, that's my favorite!

Fabulous winter pix! Strange to see these when
it’s 37 degrees and a foggy rain is falling here in
SE MI.
Cool vid too.
