Fritz, the kayaking wonder dog is at it again, taking his humans on another adventure, this time in Ontonagon County to check out the Fourteen Mile Point Lighthouse. Jeff & Chris Dennis were behind the camera and snapped some nice shots, but my favorite is the one of Jeff and Fritz in front of the Lighthouse as the clear water and angle of the shot make it look like they’re flying. In the shot with the kayak up on the beach you can just see Chris further up on the beach, Jeff says she never misses an opportunity to search for beach glass. The last photo of Paddy’s Bridge is just north of Ontonagon on Lakeshore drive, not far from town Jeff said.

I asked Jeff how long a kayak paddle it was to the Lighthouse, because he mentioned that their arms were tired afterwards. He said they started their kayak journey near 10 mile point on the south end of Termite Bay, north of Ontonagon and since it was 10 Mile Point to 14 Mile Point Lighthouse, he said they used their math skills to guess they paddled four miles each way. It took about an hour and a half there and the same back, but the waves were building and there were quite a few people camping at the lighthouse, so they didn’t linger there to explore like they normally would have done. Jeff said the lighthouse is stunningly beautiful on the shore. The brick walls are the only thing left of the lighthouse, due to a fire back in 1984. Click on this link for more information on the Lighthouse and the fire: Fourteen Mile Point Lighthouse

Jeff didn’t have a video from their adventure, but he did have a neat one during a storm out at Little Traverse with heavy rainfall, lightning and thunder. It’s kind of nice to sit on their porch and listen to the storm raging outside.

Nice set! I love the clear water in #3.
And is that 4 miles as the fish flies?

Love these. The one where it looks like
they're flying is my favorite. And I could
listen to that rainstorm all day.
