On a rainy, windy day last week, Paul LaVigne took his sister out fishing on the Keweenaw Waterway Lower Entry. It was a bit wavy, but nothing too crazy, the rain was falling and there was a bit of haze in the air from the rain and possibly the fires in Canada, too. They were successful fishing as you can see in the bottom photo. But they were also treated to the passing by of the T/S State of Michigan Training Ship for the Great Lakes Maritime Academy. Her overall length is 224 feet and her crew consists of 15 Officers/crew, 2 Instructors, 50 Cadets. That’s a boat-full, I’d say.
Paul also recorded a short video clip of the fishing adventure, with some rocking and rolling while the raindrops are falling. All in all and exciting day on the water!

There's a fishing derby going on in Lac La Belle this weekend. Nephew, his son and his bud and his son are out...good thing they got warmth and rain gear~

Nice pix and video taken on a not so nice day. But, what ever floats your boat.

Nice catch, of the boat and the fish. I got seasick just watching that boat rocking. No thank you. But I'll help them eat the fish.
