Laurie Bashaw and her hubby, Edward Korpi were up early to catch the sunrise in Marquette Harbor. She said they don't always wake up at 4:30 to see the sunrise, but when they do, they make sure it's the first day of summer! Also known to be the longest day of the year, which was made even longer for them, since they were up earlier than normal. But what a sight for them to behold... the sun just coming up over the horizon coloring the sky different shades and changing by the minute. Absolutely stunning!

We join MI Playground’s Nick and Andy near Ironwood, for a quick look at Copper Peak and the question of whether you would go to the top or not. So would you?

Alex, It was when we went, but only to a
certain point. If you wanted to continue to
the top, you walked.

We've been to the top also, Deb, but we were a lot younger then! Alex, a recent news story says the elevator is working. But you still have to climb several stories to get to the top.

Alex, Buddy.... I don't see us traveling to Ironwood
anytime soon, but I'll try to remember to take a few
photos this trip and send them to you for sure. I
start looking at something and realize later... man
I should of pulled out my phone and took a pic!! I'm
horrible when it comes to that.

Over the years, been up to the top several times. One time, bad electrical thunderstorm came up while we were up there..power down, bad lightning..they sent a van up there to bring our group back down from near the top. Memerable!
