Stacey Flood and her hubby did a bit of kayaking around the shoreline in Eagle Harbor this past weekend. They found some interesting lichen clinging to the rocky shores, along with trees gripping onto the edges, wrapping their roots around to hang on. Nature can be so adaptable to its surroundings in order to grow and thrive. Stacey’s fourth photo finds a Canada Goose standing there, camouflaged just enough to blend right in at first glance. Then in the bottom photo two geese seem to have found their own little private island. So much beauty, so little time, but thankfully folks like Stacey get out there and share their time with us in photos.
Just in case you missed Bridgefest this year, Visit Keweenaw shares a video of the fireworks over the Portage Lake Lift Bridge, from Gavin Simonson – Instagram user: g.t.simons. They were quite spectacular!

I could hear them, but I was already in "couch". I don't own a bed...

Gorgeous pictures, Stacey!
We wanted to go to the fireworks, but we've never been so weren't sure where to go. Maybe next year, God willing.

Great pics & video!!
Donna, in "couch" I take it you prefer that? Do you need a bed or a homecare type bed? If so, I'd like to help.

I'm lichen it. Even the rocky goose scene on a private island.
