Along with the arrival of spring here in the Copper Country, minus a few snow flurries here and there yet, is opening the camp day at Big Traverse (or anywhere your camp resides). Barbara Bouwkamp spent the past weekend with her hubby, Tom, opening their place at Traverse and she was able to capture today’s shots, making it look like summer has arrived. Beautiful blue skies, with puffy, white clouds over Lake Superior, what a beautiful sight. Not to mention the beach sand, minus the ice and snow that had been there over the winter months. It really does look like it is a beautiful summer day. Soon, Lake Superior, soon…

While we’re waiting for summer days, Steve Brimm brings us a morning greeting from Lake Superior, with a few icicles hanging on. I love the sound of the waves lapping at the shoreline and the view of the rocks the water is washing over, too.

HEY I KNOW THAT BEACH!! Great pics & soothing
video!! We like to go to Big Traverse from our
campsite in Gay. It's very close and you can't
beat
that south shore sandy beach, much like Bete Gris
and Jacobsville!! The top pic is now my background
pic on my laptop. Thanks Barb & Steve for sharing
