Nancy Haun has been busy with her camera lately and captured a variety of scenes for us here today. We start out with a shot taken from Town Road in Skanee. Nancy describes the open water by Witz’s Marina in the view, with Point Abbaye above the bay and then if you look close, she thinks that’s Limestone Mountain in Pelkie. Quite the expansive scene from the top of that road.

That’s the Ravine River Eagle sitting on her nest in the next photo. Neat how she keeps her head above the nest so she can keep an eye on anything coming or going nearby.

Diorite is an unincorporated community in Marquette County. Nancy was waiting there for the Canadian National to arrive. Check it out, she was not alone while waiting there. A number of deer were watching her and keeping her company.

Nancy’s next shot has the chickens wondering why that deer is out, but they have to stay in their paddock. I’m not sure what the deer is thinking, maybe wondering why Nancy is taking its picture or checking to make sure she’s only shooting it with her camera.

Take a look at the bold little deer on the back porch. Nancy said they didn’t want to feed the deer as the numbers are too high, so they didn’t even start, but the deer had a better idea, they continually drained the bird feeders...the squirrels helped, too, so Nancy moved the feeders by the house. They’re still able to access the seed and those who can’t reach just come right up on the porch. Where there’s a will, there’s a way!

And last, but not least, Nancy figures the deer in the bottom photo looks like he’s saying, “Oh sorry, I thought you said ‘help yourself’...my mistake, yum, yum, yum.” Fun critter antics in today’s photos.

Steve Brimm gives us 20 seconds of solace to start our week with. Make sure you turn your volume UP, so you can hear the sounds of the ice talking.

Good looking pics, like seeing healthy deer.

Love these. The deer are always beautiful and I
especially love the Eagle.

The fifth pic “Back Porch Lunch “…is venison on Nancy’s menu?
