Kathy Archambeau captured these photos of yet another new critter to visit the Archambeau Farm. She says that the pictures don’t do it justice, but this squirrel is a beautiful blonde. Kathy said they also have one that visits that is a silver color and would love to see them together and snap a photo of the two of them. Seeing this blondie, makes me wonder now, do blonde squirrels have more fun?
We’re hiking at Mount Curwood today, with Yooper Steve from TourDaYoop. Steve says: “Mount Curwood part of the Huron Mountains in the Upper Peninsula was originally recognized as Michigan's highest natural point. It was until 1982 when it was re-surveyed and found to be about 1 foot shorter than Mount Arvon which is a few miles to the NE. Don't expect big views for miles as you are mostly looking just a rounded hilltop with gentle sloping sides, but there is a benchmark and two track road is a fun adventure that is accessible by vehicles with a little more ground clearance. Sign the logbook and let others know you were there. Winter it is only accessible by snowmobile. Located about 16 miles from the town of L'Anse.”

If you go up on Mt. Arvon, the tallest point in the state, then you go to the tourist place in L'Anse...they used to give you a certificate that said you were on the highest point in the state. Pretty cool...

With the tail being so much lighter it makes you wonder if she's a bleached blonde?
