We sure have been treated to the Northern Lights shows this spring. They’re so unique and beautiful, that one can never tire of viewing them. Isaac Diener has been out capturing them just about every time they appear in the skies here in the Keweenaw. This time he went to the top of Brockway Mountain to snap the first two shots, where you can see the familiar signs illuminated from behind by those glowing skylights. In the last photo though, the colors aren’t only in the sky, they’re also reflected in the still Lake Superior water. Absolutely stunning!
We’re getting a little lesson today on what’s so great about the Great Lakes. They’re also known as America’s Inland Seas, Lake Huron, Lake Ontario, Lake Michigan, Lake Erie and Lake Supeior. HOMES is the acronym that helps folks remember all five great lakes. Many more fun facts in the video... check it out!

What a quandary! Watch the Lights from atop Brockway and be surrounded by the show or watch from the Lake shore and enjoy the reflections too! No wrong answer! Thanks Isaac!

Is there a northern lights website to let us know about the lights activity U.P. here?
