E. Neil Harri starts off the week for us here on the Pasty Cam, with a trio of shots from his airplane, of the Mouth of the Montreal River/Falls in the Keweenaw. You can tell how swiftly the water is flowing, by the churned UP waters where the river/falls spill into Lake Superior. Interesting seeing this from the air, as you can see what looks like it could be sandbars or deposits perhaps from the water pushing the sand and displacing it? I know this time of year with all the snow melt the water is really running with a force unlike other times of the year.
Today’s video was from the fall, so the water isn’t running quite as fast as it does this time of year, but you still get a look at it racing toward Lake Superior and you can hear the roar as it makes its way there at the mouth of the river.

Great pics & video!! Been out there several times by boat & Jet Skis and a few times many years ago by land. Beautiful spot!!
